Take a Tour Senior Pages	Raised in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Griffiths graduated with a B.S. in both biology and English from Neumman University in 1991 and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1996 from Kansas State University. John was also a proud member of the United States Marines for six years. After graduating from Kansas State University, John moved to Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, where he practiced small animal medicine for almost four years. His special medical interests include radiology, ultrasonography, feline medicine and surgery. While in Huntingdon, he met and married his wife Laurie. Their daughter, Claire, was born in September 1998. The Griffiths family moved to State College in July 2000, and currently resides here with their three cats, Squish, Clarisse, and Pebbles. Dr. Griffiths' outside interests include writing, basketball, and riding roller coasters. John has received the George W. Alla award for best short story in veterinary medicine during his junior year in veterinary school and is also a licensed electrician.
